Your walk takes you in a straight line from the railway cathedral (Central Station) to Our Lady’s Cathedral. The choice is yours: from east (Central Station) to west (Our Lady’s Cathedral ) or the other way round.
This walk is an excellent introduction to the city.
It takes you to some of the most popular places of Antwerp: the pleasant “Groenplaats“ , the “Boerentoren” skyscraper , the Meir ( Antwerp’s long shopping mall) and to the bustling De Keyserlei.
You pass architectural gems like the recently restored “Palace on the Meir” , you look at enticing shop windows; the statues of Rubens, Van Dyck, Teniers – Antwerp’s most famous painters – show you the way .
This pleasant walk is mainly through pedestrian zones and gives you a nice overview of the town.
