All of the more than 200 KGvA members, over 150 of whom act as Antwerp City Guides, have an official tourist guide certificate and in addition are acknowledged as “Tourist Guides” by Toerisme Vlaanderen (Visit Flanders). Our society was founded nearly 100 years ago and during that time we have always been considered to be the official Antwerp city guides.
We guarantee multilingual quality, not only in Dutch, French, English or German, but also in Spanish, Italian and a few other languages.
In 2020 the working group Quality Control started. Their goal is to optimize contents and form of our guided tours and to keep them up to date. This Quality Control team will follow up the evaluations by customers and the reviews of new and revised walks. Within our association the study group ALVO assures opportunities for further training so as to keep our guides permanently up to date.
In a fast evolving city such as Antwerp there are always new challenges. Thanks to our proper product cell the Antwerp City Guides anticipate new developments in our city as much as possible. So new walks are developed and existing walks are revised and adapted.
The Antwerp City Guides are people of all ages, but every day they all show refreshing vitality and energy, and their passion for Antwerp. They are eager to help you discover this magnificent city.
